I know the academy cleans the big mats once a day but when I watch the guy actually clean he just dips the mop in the bucket once and pretty much cleans the whole area. I dont think one or 2 dips in the bucket will clean the big area.

That's usually how you're supposed to mop. I've seen him dip it twice and I think that's enough and in my opinion he does a good job of it. I don't think it has to do with the mats being dirty but rather that people train with crop circles on their body and boils. I don't blame the mats I blame the guys who are inconsiderate.

The academy is very clean for any BJJ academy standard!
For the best of my knowledge we are the only gym that actually has a professional staff dedicated to cleaning and mopping the whole gym there all day.

Most of you train only at night and always see the academy while it's busy with all the students running around, but before and after these classes the people in charge of cleaning are always very busy making sure that everything is in top order and sanitized.
