Renzo speaking reminds me of the good leadership I had in the Army. He is a tough guy and yet he can have a humorous side and the stuff he says really comes from the heart. Quite an honor to present a red and black belt, it really shows how he's up there on the hierarchy not only of his family but of the entire JJ.

Certainly this is an awesome accomplishment, one that should be appreciated for all that it stands for. BJJ is a life long journey and to see such a magnificent accomplishment awarded to someone who has given so much to our sport was great. We are so fortunate to be affiliated with Carlinhos.

I was lucky enough to be able to attend the last time Carlinhos here for a seminar. It was certainly one of the best days of my BJJ career. It was an honor to be present on the same mat. A day I will cherish.

Thanks to fightworks for posting the video clips as well. To see Renzo present the belt was an added bonus. Renzo always has a way with words, and to see the true emotion he had was quite moving.

I guess in the end, it shows reason 10,000 why it is a true honor to train here at RGA. The lineage is unmatched and the instruction is from the best in the world.
